If you love the Upper Peninsula, then you will love working from our Hancock, Michigan office. We are currently seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Hancock, Michigan-based geoenvironmental project team.
Key Responsibilities
* Field and office support for environmental site assessment and remediation projects, including soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, pore water, and soil gas sample collection.
* Technical task management for remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and due diligence.
* Support design, bid specification development, construction oversight, operation, and maintenance of environmental remediation projects.
* Data synthesis, evaluation, and technical reporting.
* Support business development and proposal preparation.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The best fit candidate should have a BS or MS in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering with a minimum of three years of environmental consulting or regulatory experience. Other qualifications include:
* Knowledge of Michigan and Federal environmental regulations (air, water, soil, waste).
* Ability to work independently and in a diverse team environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Contaminated sediment evaluation and ecological restoration experience are desirable.
* Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
* HAZWOPER certification will be required.
