Group HSQ Manager
Coventry, West Midlands with national travel required
We have partnered with a global leading organisation who are looking to appoint a Group HSQ Manager to lead and develop the strategy across their UK sites. As the Group HSQ Manager, you will be accountable for driving change and developing the safety culture within the group.
You will report to the Managing Director and be part of the Senior Leadership Team, interacting with the UK Board. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation, who have shown continual growth and is looking to appoint an engaging individual, to take HSQ to the next level.
Responsibilities:
1. Create, develop and implement the Group HSQ strategy working closely with the board and senior leadership team.
2. Oversee full policy creation and regulatory updates, ensuring compliance and rolling out necessary training programmes.
3. Drive cultural change, bringing HSEQ and Compliance to the forefront.
4. Coaching, managing and developing senior stakeholders to drive change and enable individuals and the business to be more proactive.
5. Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 and IATF 16949:2016 standards, overseeing both internal and external audit programmes.
6. Manage a team of 5 HSEQ professionals.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Must have experience working within the automotive industry or supply chain, FM / Services sectors.
2. Experience in developing HSEQ strategies.
3. Experience in managing multisite operations and willingness to travel nationally.
4. NEBOSH GC as a minimum, ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; CMIOSH would be desirable.
5. Experience of auditing - ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and IATF 16949:2016 - internal or Lead auditor is desirable.
6. Knowledge of Kaizen or understanding of 6 Sigma (Black Belt) is desirable.
7. Previous experience of managing a team.
8. Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital.
