The service requires that all members of the team are committed, compassionate and ultimately put the needs of the children first. Team members have to be committed to working in a person centred way in order to meet the needs of the children. Every member of the team has to work well with others and work well in a team.
Golygfa'r Dolydd (Meadows View) is a purpose-built home that provides care and support for young people from 6 to 17 years of age. The service is made up of two distinct parts, the assessment provision and the emergency provision. Up to seven young people of any gender can be placed at the service at any one time: four in the assessment and three in the emergency.
Golygfa'r Dolydd offers a therapeutic environment for children and young people, using a trauma informed approach to provide the most effective support possible. Enabling them to understand their individual circumstances, develop resilience and self-care skills.
Golygfa'r Dolydd has an onsite Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst who co-ordinates the assessment and therapeutic interventions for young people and will work closely with the staff to develop bespoke Positive Behavioural Support Plans designed to reduce challenging behaviours and support positive behavioural change.The role requires candidates to be enthusiastic, curious and committed. Candidates will themselves be eager to learn and develop their practice and undertake a comprehensive training package.Continuous professional development is a requirement for the role, as is a commitment to complete the mandatory health and social care qualification, level 2 and 3.
