Control Systems Engineer / Manufacturing (Process) / Staff / £55k + benefits / Cumbria
A true pioneer when it comes to polymer chemical manufacturing, this role’s main function is to support and head up PLC (Control Systems) projects for a process manufacturing site based in Cumbria.
Not only will you be the main point of contact when it comes to PLC coding for upgrade projects, but you will also have the opportunity to travel to various worldwide locations for other projects and FAT’s.
With sustainability at the forefront of everyone’s mind, this is a business that pioneered the recycling of their polymer products for over 15 years, and cuts to their carbon emissions during the production process has been recognised globally, winning multiple awards.
What are we looking for?
Someone that can code PLC’s from scratch. The client has Siemens and Beckoff automation systems on site but they are happy to consider someone with any PLC programming background. This can be across either Ladder Logic or Tech spaced coding. This site has Atex areas, but we are happy to consider candidates from any manufacturing / heavy industry background.
Why this role?
You will have the opportunity to be involved in full lifecycle projects for the UK and Global sites. The business also prefers to promote from within meaning you will have the opportunity to progress within the business and this can be showcased from people within the company.
Company values here are also very genuine. The process onsite is carried out in a way that follows sustainability promises, with as little environmental impact as possible.
