Requirements
We are looking for a Technical Scrum Master to develop our software teams and play a crucial role in delivering world-class financial software for our partners and clients. You will be critical in delivering high-quality features and fostering a delivery-focused and collaborative team ethos. This is an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to driving excellence in software development.
Responsibilities
Delivery
1. Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team.
2. Facilitate the delivery process within your teams, collaborating with Product Owners to identify and plan high-value deliverables, ensuring their successful execution.
3. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and agile practices, embodying the spirit of agile methodologies.
4. Use Kanban and other Agile frameworks (LeSS) to empower cross-team collaboration on a single product.
5. Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and blockers.
6. Communicate timelines and commitments effectively to stakeholders.
7. Redistribute tasks among team members to promote growth, balance, and scalability.
People
1. Take ownership of the well-being and career development of each team member.
2. Mentor and coach team members on agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
3. Proactively manage conflict to ensure a healthy level of active collaboration.
4. Provide mentoring and coaching focused on culture and delivery excellence.
5. Identify training needs for future skill development and planning.
6. Conduct regular structured 1-2-1s to set personal objectives and goals.
7. Proactively manage performance and motivation within your teams.
Technical
1. Solid technical background in software engineering, with familiarity in languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
2. Ability to read, understand, and review code when necessary.
3. Ensure that software is developed to the agreed-upon standards of quality.
4. Although this role is technical, it's not expected to be hands-on.
