Senior Facilities Manager – Leadership in Strategic Maintenance and Compliance
Are you a facilities management professional with strong leadership and strategic vision? Join us as a Senior Facilities Manager to take on a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing maintenance service delivery and compliance for key sites. You’ll ensure that all work meets MoD mandatory requirements, Health & Safety standards, and environmental policies while delivering efficiency, accountability, and financial commitment.
In this role, you will lead risk management efforts, providing technical support when statutory compliance cannot be met and chairing Site Risk Meetings as needed. As a point of contact with the Additional Works team, you’ll ensure projects meet required standards, manage timely documentation, and oversee asset recording.
Key to your success will be your ability to foster productive relationships with the DIO and end users, offering professional advice when necessary. You’ll support a culture of continuous improvement by providing clear direction and empowering your team to meet performance goals. With a proactive approach, you’ll ensure the recruitment, motivation, and development of a skilled team that’s prepared to achieve service excellence.
Your responsibilities will also include managing costs, driving value for money, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders. You’ll work closely with supply chains, ensuring efficiency and commercial control, and will oversee local budgets while monitoring profit and loss to meet contractual requirements. As an ambassador for VIVO, you’ll lead collaborative estate planning and forecasting to ensure optimal operational outcomes.
