Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our UK Aerospace and Defense Sales team selling a range of innovative and technologically advanced products and services to clients operating at the forefront of the Aerospace market. Based remotely and reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, the position holder will act as the focal point for all sales and project related topics in the region.
Emphasis will also be placed on developing & maintaining existing relationships with both the commercial teams and the design engineering departments within the allocated customer base. The position holder will have a minimum experience of working in Sales or Account Management with a proven track record of business development within the Aerospace & Defense or a similar industry preferred.
Role and Responsibilities
The typical activities of the position will cover:
1. Build customer relationships through dedicated customer accounts.
2. Stay in permanent direct contact (visits, email, phone) with the customer to ensure on-going support and communication.
3. Promote TE Connectivity product portfolio & new technologies to the customer.
4. IBP/ S&OP Sales Forecasting.
5. Preparing the Strategic Account Plan for key customers.
6. Active participation in reviewing/supporting customer Business reviews.
7. Market analysis & Platform mapping.
8. Monthly reporting of Sales figures and Project Status.
9. Identifying Sales opportunities and converting into won business.
10. Price negotiation and providing quotations.
11. Facilitate Complex Engineering projects.
12. Coordinating responses for Logistics and Quality related issues.
What your background should look like:
1. Sales experience in the Aerospace & Defense or similar markets.
2. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internal and external).
3. Technical and commercial education/ experience e.g. Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (specialising in electro-mechanics/ electronics), would be beneficial or relevant Industry Experience.
4. A professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding.
5. Proven track record in business development and ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
6. Clear strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities.
7. Project Management Experience - facilitating complex projects.
8. Excellent organisational skills.
9. Flexibility and a willingness to travel.
10. Self-motivated with the ability to perform in a demanding environment.
11. Strong communication, selling, negotiation and presentation skills.
12. Target and results driven.
13. Microsoft Office SAP experience.
