BMS Commissioning Manager - Contract Role - London - to £420 a day
We are currently seeking a Commissioning BMS Manager to join our team in London for a contract role.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Management of the entire building commissioning process, including BMS and fire alarm.
2. Developing commissioning plans, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts for mechanical systems.
3. Development and third-party buy-in into project certification strategies specific to mechanical components.
4. Recording detailed progress prerequisites for mechanical systems.
5. Routine population and management of data in our project management software, with a focus on mechanical aspects.
6. Undertaking and reporting inspections and tests related to mechanical systems.
7. Assisting in the development of design and commissioning documentation for tender and construction purposes, emphasizing mechanical elements.
8. Attending project and internal meetings as needed, representing the mechanical commissioning perspective.
9. Arranging test instrumentation with a specific focus on mechanical systems.
10. Assisting in the development of tender submissions with an emphasis on mechanical requirements.
11. Supporting projects during client discussions of a technical nature related to mechanical components.
12. Reviewing technical papers/reports related to mechanical systems before publication.
13. Working closely as part of a general contractor's team to develop commissioning strategies and processes aligned with project objectives, with a focus on mechanical aspects.
14. Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals, and technical submittals related to mechanical systems.
15. Managing detailed recording of meetings, particularly those involving mechanical commissioning discussions.
16. Providing routine progress reporting and final project close-out reports with a focus on mechanical systems.
17. Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests for mechanical components.
18. Arranging third-party sign-off as necessary for mechanical systems.
19. Providing technical advice to clients regarding project and operational risk related to mechanical aspects.
Preferred Qualifications
1. A commissioning professional as certified by an accredited agency.
2. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3. Professional Engineer preferred.
4. Data Centre commissioning experience.
5. Commissioning certification preferred (CxA, CCP, BCxP, or CBCP).
6. LEED AP or LEED Associate.
7. Management/Commissioning Management.
8. Have one or more specific, relevant, technical expertise.
9. Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software such as Trace or IES.
10. Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
1. A minimum of 8 years of commissioning experience.
2. Individual drive, enthusiasm, and high attention to detail.
3. Detailed technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
4. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
5. Creativity and an ability to problem-solve quickly.
6. Multi-tasking abilities.
7. Being task and deadline focused.
8. Ability to work collaboratively.
9. Ability to consistently produce high-quality project work.
