About this opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our innovative and creative long-term team.
The role involves supporting adults aged 18+ living in the community with care and support needs, including supporting their informal and formal carers as necessary. You will collaborate with a diverse range of health, social care, and third-sector organisations across the Cumberland Council footprint.
You will be responsible for completing complex holistic assessments, support planning, and reviews in accordance with the Care Act, taking a strengths-based approach that promotes individuals’ independence and wellbeing.
You will need skills in manual handling, seating assessments, and mentoring team members as the role involves supporting less experienced team members to develop their competencies.
