This well-established client is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Service Engineer for the wider Oxfordshire area, specialising in the service, maintenance, and installation of pumping solutions for the water treatment industry. Working on a full-time, permanent basis with an attractive salary and employee benefits package, you will have access to a company van for all customer site visits, and full product and service-certified training is offered.
This highly rewarding career opportunity is best suited to a candidate who has 2-5 years of mechanical service engineering experience, enjoys mobile working, and meeting with customers daily. The majority of customers are based off-grid and are located in rural locations including farm estates, stately homes, the MOD, and large business premises; therefore, excellent verbal communication skills are key to the success of this position.
As a Mobile Mechanical Service Engineer, we need a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer, someone who has obtained either a Degree Level, BTEC Level, or has served an apprenticeship. Prior knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems would be highly advantageous.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Servicing, repairing, and installing pumps, pumping equipment, filtration, treatment, pipework, and associated equipment (both clean water and sewage).
2. Diagnosing problems on site and gathering information to ensure accurate prices/quotes can be raised.
3. Attending to emergency callouts on occasional evenings and weekends, which is paid at overtime rates.
Candidates must have a full clean UK Driving Licence.
