The implementation to take into account individual needs and circumstances, personal preference, health status, resources and motivation and to be informed by theoretical and therapeutic models, current evidence and the ongoing evaluation of the outcomes of theintervention.To make highly specialist clinical decisions and to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the treatment, referral and discharge of patients.To undertake risk assessments and risk management for individual clients with child protection issues and adult safeguarding issuesTo receive informed consent and to communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans to individuals and couples.To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping, report writing and appropriate sharing of information in accordance with professional codes of practice, Trust policies and procedures and National guidelines.To maintain advanced theoretical and practical expertise and be able to reflect in practice to identify individual strengths and development needs to ensure effective practice.Undertake clinical and professional supervision and meet the requirements for ongoing professional registration.To be familiar with the codes of ethics and current professional guidelines of the appropriate specialist professional organisation and to ensure their appropriate application within the service.To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and its implications for clinical practice and professional management in the specialist service.
