To be part of the team that provides the catering service to the external retail outlet on site serving drinks, snacks, and composite meals. To provide a hands-on contribution in the catering department for maintaining the hygienic standards of food and beverage production and the logging of food and fridge temperatures. Undertake the cleaning of all kitchen areas and involvement in supporting the patient food service upon request from the management team.
An exciting part-time vacancy has arisen for an outgoing, energetic person to join our Retail Catering team.
Our department has been chosen as an 'exemplar site' for NHS catering, following the recommendations of a national Independent Review into NHS Hospital Food. It was one of the first 14 sites across England (and the only site in Greater Manchester) in 2021 to be chosen for the honour.
The exemplar sites have been described as brave, courageous, and innovative and the title is a testament to the team and the wonderful work that takes place here.
Our retail offering consists of 5 busy catering outlets across the site - proudly serving 'barista-made' Costa Coffee in 3 outlets, as well as a shop and recently refurbished Restaurant.
