Are you passionate about supporting young people to get the best health outcomes?
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in our Healthwatch teams to support young people in North Lincolnshire to have their say in how health services are planned and delivered.
Healthwatch has a wide remit and has a number of legal powers to help ensure that patient and public voice is at the heart of how health and care services are designed and delivered.
The role will involve recruiting and training young people as community connectors to enable them to listen to the experiences of their peers and use this to drive change. In addition, the role will support young people with long term health conditions to develop and be involved in a forum that will be used to ensure young peoples voice is included in the co design of services. This role is pivotal in empowering young people, particularly those with long-term health conditions, by giving them a voice and ensuring that their needs and experiences shape the services designed to support them.
The role will also support the wider development of volunteering within our teams.
