Route 29 is working collaboratively to meet the needs of our most vulnerable children and families in Salford. Route 29 will focus on providing a robust and asset based intervention to young people aged 12 17 years who are on the edge of care, in care or at risk of placement instability. We believe that Route 29 will embrace a closer working relationship with adolescents a ‘working with’ rather than a ‘doing to’ approach.
Our hub which will provide residential and outreach support will have a dedicated team which includes:
* A Team Manager
* Two Deputy Managers
* Portfolio Leads
* Key workers who support young people and their families within the hub and by outreach work in the community
* A Clinical psychologist
* A Speech and Language therapist
* An Educational Psychologist
* Nurses
* Police contacts
* Two community foster families who work out of the hub and are part of the professional team
Route 29 are seeking an Education Portfolio Lead. The Education Portfolio Lead for Route 29 plays a pivotal role in ensuring that education is a key component of the support provided to vulnerable children and young people. This role involves overseeing the educational strategies and initiatives within the Route 29 program, working closely with schools, alternative education providers, and families to address the educational needs of the children in care or at risk. The Education Portfolio Lead collaborates with multi-agency teams to create personalised educational plans, ensuring that the children receive consistent support, remain engaged in learning, and achieve positive educational outcomes despite the challenges they may face. Key responsibilities include identifying barriers to education, advocating for appropriate resources and interventions, and fostering partnerships to promote educational stability and success for every child involved in Route 29.
You will also provide supervisions to a small number of keyworkers and ensure that practise is consistent across the team. You will work as part of a multi agency team you will display a genuine commitment to the needs and welfare of vulnerable children and adults to ensure the best outcomes for them. You will demonstrate our values of Pride, Passion, People and Personal Responsibility to give young people the stability, skills and support to manage their transition to adulthood and independence successfully.
