As a business with big ambition, we are looking to build on our success to date and further expand, onboarding new advisers to grow our client bank and funds under management. As such we are looking for an experienced and highly analytical senior paraplanner to join our existing paraplanning team within our Manchester head office. You will be responsible for analysing the client’s current financial position, assessing how to best meet the needs and objectives of the client and devising an appropriate strategy to be implemented. You will deliver your analysis and strategy within well-structured and concisely written suitability reports. As we strongly believe in a collaborative approach you will work closely with the administration team, adviser’s and key stakeholders as well as building relationships with clients, product providers and investment managers in order to deliver the highest quality of advice. You will be a passionate and conscientious individual who embraces our holistic and bespoke approach to advice, building long-lasting and trusted relationships with our clients. The paraplanning function ensures that our client’s investment portfolios are efficiently managed and you will be key in delivering this. Responsibilities: Carry out research and analysis Write suitability reports and letters Carry out annual review analysis and reporting Mentoring/training/support of paraplanners. Client and adviser contact Provider contact / business submission Ensure client queries are appropriately investigated and accurate responses given Assist with client meetings Obtain Illustrations, cash flow modelling, quotes and supporting literature Ensure all client work is compliant and supported with relevant paperwork Manage and update our back-office data The candidate: In a constantly changing regulatory framework, the candidate needs to be adaptable. They need to be able to cope with a fast paced and deadline driven environment and be able to manage multiple cases and workload. Given our clients are typically high-net-worth, you will be dealing with significant investment portfolios, and therefore we require an extremely conscientious and organised individual, with a strong understanding of mathematics and an analytical mindset. Have a minimum of four years relevant experience. Have a CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent qualification. Used to dealing with high-net-worth clients Have a strong understanding of financial products and services Have the ability to assess suitability in line with client’s goals Have strong analytical skills, specifically analysing financial records and providing technical commentary Act with honesty and integrity Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases at any one time. Have excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Have a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Have a working knowledge of office software including: Outlook, Word, Excel and back office systems Be willing to undertake other such duties and responsibilities as determined by the company Be willing to work additional hours if required, subject to prior agreement Be able to work within a team and also demonstrate the ability to work independently The company reserves the right to vary or amend duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of the Company.
