Our Mobility Aids service (MAS) offers hire of equipment like wheelchairs to help people live more independent lives. Y ou will be mainly based in the warehouse ensuring that all mobility aids are cleaned, serviced and repaired to an agreed national standard. There will also be some driving involved, approximately one day per week, transporting stock between British Red Cross sites. Whether working as part of the team or as a lone worker, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the Mobility Aids Service. You will provide support to other members of the department ensuring that the operation complies with, and where possible, exceeds customer expectations, contractual arrangements, service levels and overall company requirements. What does it take to be a successful Driver / Warehouse Operative ? Being a team player, happy to support colleagues but can self manage your time and workload. Being a confident and safe driver with van driving experience and knowledge of Omagh and surrounding area. Physically able to lift and carry loads up to 21kg (within the Health and Safety Manual Handling criteria). IT skills with an ability to learn and operate a stock management system.
