Description We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Administrator / Technical Clerk to work with our office based engineering teams on major projects to provide a wide variety of support. The role is based a minimum of three days per week in Costain’s South Manchester office, typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to provide direct support to the teams. Other part time options may be available. LI-AW1 Responsibilities The Team Administrator will provide full administrative support to the Engineering Team working on BP Energy Transition Projects and contribute to the smooth running of the project in order to exceed our client’s expectations. Your responsibility is to ensure the day to day administration on projects is up to date, consistent and in line with company procedures. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of the Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in Costain’s goal to energy transition on landmark projects. The role will require someone who is dynamic and responsive, with an ability to drive activities to successful conclusions. Support the onboarding of personnel to the project Supporting projects with tasks to meet deadlines, being agile and supportive, such as document uploads, maintaining action trackers and similar, taking and issuing meeting minutes and similar. Support the wider Engineering Team with administrative duties on an ad hoc basis Monthly / weekly report collation, (including supporting Project Engineers in Key Performance Indicator data development and editing) Coordinating communication between departments in generation of deliverables (e.g. through IDC – Interdiscipline Check) Coordinate schedules/deliverables Manage and co-ordinate diaries Organise internal and external meetings including room bookings, refreshments etc IT, PPE and stationery ordering, management, and arranging collections Creation and formatting of Microsoft Office Presentations; Document Formatting, Templates. Meet and greet visitors, organise hotdesk bookings Organise travel and accommodation arrangements Qualifications Previous experience in a professional services working environment Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Good interpersonal skills Excellent organisational skills Have a supportive and flexible ethos Understand the importance of safety and wellbeing Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Sharepoint) and good general IT literacy Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines To be able to collaborate/coordinate across a large team.
