Are you a highly organized, proactive professional looking to make an impact? We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Accounts Payable function while providing leadership and support to the team.
You will oversee daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely, high-quality task completion while enhancing processes through KPIs, system optimisation, and targeted training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working on the Finance systems, specifically in Access for different group companies
* Supervise the Accounts Payable team and provide input as needed on Finance systems.
* Perform month-end close actions and maintain accurate financial data.
* Support implementation of new Finance systems, aligning AP processes.
* Process and register purchase and subcontractor invoices.
* Submit invoices for approval and match them to purchase orders and goods receipts.
* Manage subcontractor payment applications, including retentions and CIS deductions.
* Prepare and amend payment proposals and coordinate weekly supplier payments.
* Handle supplier calls, resolve queries, and reconcile statements.
* Review Aged Creditors listings for accuracy and integrity.
* Perform administrative duties and maintain clear communication with staff and management.
* Recruit, induct, and train new AP staff.
* Experience in a similar role, including transaction processing.
* Team supervision and workload prioritisation skills.
* Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems and Excel.
* Strong numeracy and multitasking abilities.
* Professional and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Flexibility, adaptability, and deadline-oriented, especially during month-end.
* Knowledge of construction and CIS (desirable but not essential).
This role full time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm - 37.5 hours per week.
