A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System. The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a single procurement function which will help support the sustainable provision of clinical and non-clinical services. You will work at a particular Trust site but may be required to support the wider objectives by covering at any of the Partner Trust sites and will be accountable to the Trust Supply Chain Manager to ensure an efficient service is provided in line with the wider collaborative work plan. You will provide a customer-centred service which meets the needs of our customer and ultimately the patients in our care, ensuring stock is available when required.
Main duties of the job
You will work as a Supplies Site Lead at Scarborough Hospital with the requirement to cover at Bridlington Hospital as required, to coordinate teams, managing all goods delivered, as well as the material management service who are responsible for stock management at ward level.
You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer-focused service is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliver excellent patient care.
You will investigate and resolve a range of problems relating to stock ordering and stock availability, chasing outstanding orders as required and will determine your own work within established parameters, referring to your manager when necessary.
You will lead, supervise and train a team of staff on-site to ensure a consistent service is delivered to stakeholders across the site.
