The Role:
This role entails providing not only technical but also application support to our customers and colleagues. Work on-site at a variety of labs and support the customers with product solutions, as well as multi-vendor systems solutions:
1. Install and optimise hardware/software/network products, perform maintenance and repairs, diagnose and resolve product performance issues, address applications related issues and provide end-to-end solution at customer sites; deliver fully coordinated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software.
2. Ensure customer satisfaction by guiding and training users on preventive maintenance and configurations, as well as how to effectively use the systems to their advantage. Demonstrate and train customers how to use and optimise high end features of Agilent's software platforms to their benefit, in particular MassHunter. Additionally, share your expertise and train other Service Engineers across Agilent's product solutions!
3. Work with the sales team to deliver bespoke one-to-one consulting related to the customer's specific application needs.
In addition, develop innovative application solutions across various market segments like Environmental, Food, Energy & Chemicals and Pharmaceutical. Applying interpersonal skills, creativity and a can-do approach are fundamental for the role.
Qualifications
1. Have an academic degree within science & engineering, including but not limited to: chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar.
2. Several years expertise in analytical techniques and method development in a similar position or as an End-user.
3. Have the competence and user experience in instrument data analysis software.
4. Problem-solving skills, particularly for fixing, applications support and/or general instrument maintenance.
Apart from these more technical skills, we are also looking for:
1. A strong desire to learn and expand your skill-set.
2. Enjoy working remotely, whilst engaging and visiting customers on-site.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. A logical approach to problem-solving.
5. The ability to coordinate and prioritise efficiently.
6. A strong attention to detail and processes, ensuring compliance with Agilent's Quality standards.
7. Ability to handle customer expectations and balance customer requirements with business needs.

This full-time, permanent position, based in the United Kingdom, is available as soon as possible. The role won't be head-office based, but working remotely combined with the short-distance travel to customer sites within your assigned geography (a company car will be available to you).

This job has a full-time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
