Support Worker - Oakfield House, Cardiff. £11.60 - £12.00 per hour dependent on experience. 40.25 hours per week. **THIS ROLE REQUIRES A UK DRIVERS LICENSE** Oakfield House is a bright, open and fun place to live and learn. Situated next to Birchwood School, Oakfield House is our home for children with autism between the ages of 8 to 18. At Oakfield House children are supported to socialise and make lifelong friends in a safe and nuturing environment. Residents have access to a peer group, where they can learn, make mistakes, practice and ultimately succeed. Located close to Whitchurch Village, and just minutes from Castell Coch and the Taff Trail, the home is close to Cardiff's vibrant city centre, where there is a wealth of after-school options for our children,
A typical day at Oakfield House will include:
1. Providing high quality bespoke care to the people we support, including keeping accurate records.
2. Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment, and that it feels like home.
3. Being a positive role model to the people we support and promoting their independence through a range of activities.
4. General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and elements of personal care.
5. Having fun with the people we support!
