This is a technical product leading role within the Technical Infrastructure and architecture team within NHS.net Connect (Formerly NHSmail), which provides exposure to a wide array of technologies. It will be necessary to work closely with existing operations teams, Internal NHS.net programme, and NHS England organisational programme leads and technical subject matter experts. The post-holder will have specialised and substantial knowledge of complex network infrastructure/ infrastructure operations, have excellent communication skills, be team-oriented and proactively respond to new challenges. NHS.net Connect sits within the Transformation directorate of the new NHS England and is the national secure collaboration service for health and social care, the service allows the NHS to connect, communicate and collaborate across the tenant. NHS.net Connect is more than just an email service – it incorporates many Microsoft O365 products such as Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. The capabilities that the service provides will transform the way the NHS collaborates on a national level as well as local. The NHS.net Connect team is a medium sized team of 45 professionals spanning a multitude of professions. Leading the engagement with the Local NHS organisations, Accenture and Microsoft to deliver value by unpicking capabilities within the products to further enhance product resiliency across the NHS estate. Provides technical consultancy and leadership to define and produce appropriate NHSmail and collaboration tool deliverables. Manages the relationship between NHSmail Teams and internal/external Stakeholders. Actively contributes to the strategy and vision for the future of the NHSmail and O365 for the NHS using specialist knowledge. Managing the support for the NHSmail service and O365 suite sitting on technical design authority and governing new technology regarding central tenant enablement Maintaining individual and team development to support new and upcoming technologies with full understanding of key developments in relevant professional spheres. Manages and maintains own professional knowledge and development in their technical specialism and embraces development opportunities to support new technologies, frameworks and services including the move to AI and the Microsoft Roadmap These roles can be based in any NHS England office.
