The role
Crown Estate Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our team on a 12 month Fixed term basis.

About the role
The successful candidate/s for this new role within the organisation will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an effective Commercial and Procurement function by:
* Raising POs and supporting timely payment of invoices.
* Co-ordination of meetings and diaries across the team.
* Issuing insurance certificates to internal stakeholders.
* Helping maintain the Contract Register and supporting procurement with contract renewal information.
Commercial
* Supporting internal meetings, arranging dates, circulating agendas and papers when directed.
* Preparing and processing purchase orders and following up on invoices.
* Supporting the Annual Valuation process, co-ordinating meetings between valuers and internal Subject Matter Experts.
Procurement
* Maintaining Contract Register and liaising with contract managers regarding upcoming renewals.
* Managing the main enquiries inbox and answering all e-mails in a timely manner.
* Preparing information to be included in reports and analysis.
The contractual working location of this role is our Edinburgh office. However, we believe work is something you do, not a place you go to, and we are committed to supporting employees to work flexibly and in a way that suits their role and preferences.
The starting salary will be £25,775 with potential for future progression as well as eligibility of annual cost of living rises. The maximum salary for this role is currently £28,959. The role also benefits from 25 days’ annual leave, increasing to 30 days after four years’ service, plus 11.5 of public/privilege days. Crown Estate Scotland encourages flexible working and operates a discretionary flexi-time scheme. This role offers participation in the Civil Service pension scheme.

About You
You should have:
* Minimum 6 National 5 qualifications, including Mathematics and English.
* Commitment and desire to study towards relevant business administration qualifications.
* Microsoft Office experience in an educational or vocational environment.
