Key Role Responsibilities:
As an Aftersales Manager, you will be an integral member of the Aftersales Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading your departments in a clear, considered, and appropriate manner, in line with the Vision, and building an accountable and progressive business unit.
* Meeting key performance indicators and targets for the service and parts departments.
* Looking for opportunities to increase efficiency of the Aftersales operation and increase recovery rates.
* Taking actions to sustain, retain and enhance levels of customer satisfaction, whilst sustaining profitability.
* Working with the team to develop understanding and implementation of a customer-focused environment, setting clear objectives/targets.
* Responding promptly to any customer complaints and ensuring timely and correct resolution.
* Liaising with external companies to ensure good working relationships are developed.
* Maintaining rigorous control of Department costs, stock and budget.
* Ensuring warranty procedures are followed correctly to ensure prompt recovery of monies due.
* Recruiting, coaching and appraising team to ensure they are operating to full potential.
* Ensuring that company standards are followed in relation to control of funds, premises, vehicles, and other company resources.
* Ensuring that steps are taken to ensure safe working processes are followed and provisions of H&S legislation are complied with.
Prerequisites:
* Experience as an Aftersales Manager/Head of Aftersales in a Large Main Dealer environment and/or experience in a Head of Business role.
* Experience of working in and excelling in a target-driven environment.
* Experience of developing and monitoring budgets.
* An understanding of marketing processes and development of pricing strategies.
* Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle and consumer legislation, trade practices and FCA regulations and duties.
* Ability to guide and direct a large team.
* A strong customer focus.
* Excellent communication skills - able to negotiate and influence.
