We are looking for an Outpatients Nurse to join our team. You will be part of a close-knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and their families. Our Outpatients team is comprised of experienced nurses and healthcare assistance supported by our welcoming Outpatients Manager. As well as undertaking basic duties, you will function as a clinical practitioner responsible for the delivery of patient care, managing and organising a workload on a daily basis. All of our work is planned, so you will be able to plan your week with ease knowing your work schedule won't change.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To deliver a high standard of patient care supported by evidence-based practice.
2. To ensure that nursing is practised within the constraints of and guided by:
* All relevant Department of Health Legislation
* NMC Code of professional conduct
* Care Quality Commission
* NICE guidelines
* Practice Plus Group policies and procedures
* Emersons Green Treatment Centre Local policies
* OPD Unit specific policies and procedures
This position will also function as a clinical practitioner within the Outpatient and Pre-assessment Service and will be responsible for the delivery of patient care, managing and organising a workload on a daily basis. The post holder may also be responsible for answering and managing telephone calls and dealing with issues arising from the calls, either by giving advice or seeking help from Clinicians or the RMO. The individual will ensure effective communication in which high-quality patient care is delivered.
