SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant Required in Waltham Forest, East London\n\nDaily Rate: £90 - £110\n Location: Waltham Forest, East London\n Contract Type: 5 days a week (Full-Time)\n Start Date: Immediate\n Duration: Long Term\n\nAbout the School:\n An independent SEN School which supports young people with autism spectrum condition, located in the scenic area of Waltham Forest, East London. Looking to maximise every student's potential supported by a bespoke approach to teaching and learning. As well as class teachers the school uses subject teachers like PE & Sport, Art, Design Technology and Cooking.
The students also work with professionals such as SALT's and Educational Psychologists.\n\nAbout the role - Teaching Assistant:\n Providing 1:1 and group support and assistance to students with special educational need's (SEN) aged 5 - 13. Working alongside passionate and talented teachers, therapists and educators, the role is ideal for someone looking to support young people looking to gain confidence and life-skills while at school.\n\nThe role will consist of:\n\nOffering support to the class teacher.\nProvide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.\nAssist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.\nBuilding good student - teacher rapport. \n\nThe successful applicants will have:\n\nPrevious experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.\nPrevious experience managing challenging behaviour.\nIdeally experience working with children and/or young people.\nValid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.
