Job Description
Livingston James is delighted to be supporting basketballscotland in recruiting their next Chief Executive.
As the governing body for basketball in Scotland, basketballscotland is passionate about increasing the positive experiences for everyone involved in the game. Basketball has the ability to enhance well-being, develop valuable life skills, and foster a strong sense of community. Its focus is on engaging and supporting the basketball community by nurturing a positive and collaborative culture while developing and empowering those who deliver the game and contribute to these experiences.
As its new Chief Executive, you will work closely with the Board of Directors and the staff team to oversee the successful delivery and execution of key strategic priorities focused on strengthening and growing the basketball community, enhancing participation at all levels, and ensuring a positive experience for all.
A key part of your role will be representing the organisation externally, building, and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, funders, and commercial partners. You will drive opportunities to diversify basketballscotland’s income, advocate for the sport’s development from grassroots to elite levels, and champion inclusivity and equality within the game. Through targeted programmes, you will highlight basketball’s positive impact on individuals and communities.
As its Chief Executive, you will be a proactive, strategic, and inspirational leader with a proven track record of success in a senior management role within the public, private, or voluntary sectors. Your passion for basketball and commitment to its mission, combined with expertise in strategic and operational planning and strong relationship management skills, will be key to driving the sport’s continued success across Scotland.
If you are excited by the opportunity to lead and support the basketball community in delivering positive experiences at every level of the game, please contact Douglas Adam at Livingston James via douglasadam@livingstonjames.com to learn more.
