Founded in 1983, Metro Rod is a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. The services are provided by over 40 franchisees with geographical coverage across the majority of the UK, Scotland and Norther Ireland.
This is a full-time vacancy and will involve you in providing a range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers. We have a company van and fuel card for the successful candidate.
What does it entail?
Operating our brand new CAP Combi 3200 CL Tanker unit, you will carry out a range of services associated with the tankers, cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains and cold-water plumbing systems, whilst delivering an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise. Predominantly you will be carrying our pre-planned maintenance works and in some cases emergency reactive work.
* Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains
* Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
* Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
* Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
* Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
* Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four– variable according to business needs
What experience we look for
* An experienced HGV Driver Class 2 and with sector experience in drainage
* HGV Class 2 driving license
* High pressure water jetting experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage
* Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
* Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
* Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
* Be willing to work some unsociable hours
* Full UK driving licence
* MUST live in the Lincolnarea
