Position Overview:
Blossom Living is seeking Youth Support Workers for a mixture of evenings, daytime, and occasionally weekends. Must be able to be flexible to work all shifts.

Essential Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS or willing to have one completed by us
* Applicants ideally have NVQ 2 or diploma in Health and Social Care or are willing to work towards it
* Support/Youth Work Practice Experience
* Minimum 12-month experience in similar social care provisions
* Fluency in English
Your Role:
* Support young people to settle into the accommodation and local community & help young people locate local resources.
* Show empathy, understanding, and warmth to all young people.
* Support and monitor young people’s ability to engage with everyday living skills.
* Assist young people in accessing education, training, or employment.
* Support young people with budgeting, grocery shopping, and managing their weekly allowance.
* Encourage young persons to engage in local activities and events.
* Work alone and as part of a team.
* Maintain confidentiality and report any concerns regarding young person’s welfare.
Due to the vulnerability of our young persons, a robust vetting process is required for successful applicants. You must be able to provide the following:
* UK passport/Residence Permit to work in the UK
* NI
* Undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
* Proof of address
* Qualifications (i.e., NVQ)
* Provide 2 written references
* Provide work history for the last 5 years with explanations of any gaps
* A copy of insurance cover that includes business use, vehicle tax proof, MOT, and service records
* Valid UK driving license
