We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a leading independent building services engineering consultancy based in Sheffield. This well:established practice has been delivering innovative engineering and design solutions since 1988, working with both private and public sector clients.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will manage a small team, delivering a diverse range of projects, from smaller sites to large:scale, multi:million:pound developments across sectors including healthcare, residential, education, and commercial. You will play a key role in overseeing the procurement of new work, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of engineers, managing project delivery from concept through to completion.
* Oversee project budgets and expenditure, ensuring financial targets are met.
* Utilise the latest software to produce high:quality engineering designs.
* Communicate directly with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
* Coordinate with other disciplines and professionals to ensure integrated solutions.
* Mentor and develop your team, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
What Were Looking For:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design within the building services industry.
* A relevant qualification (HND, Degree, or Masters) in Building Services or a related field.
* Membership of a professional institution (or working towards).
* Previous experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of CAD or modelling software.
* Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
