Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council
Directorate: Assistant Chief Executive
Head of OD and Change
Salary: £64,229 - £68,590
Job reference: REQ19068
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week
Are you a forward-thinking, proactive, and dynamic OD professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have diverse transformation experience and the ability to inspire the trust and confidence of senior leaders?
This is your chance to help shape the future of our workforce approaches, ensuring we are high-performing and that our leaders and managers embody our values and behaviours.
We are looking for a technically strong and confident Head of OD and Change with experience of working in a complex and challenging environment. You will be a measured and positive individual who can work confidently at all levels in the organisation to obtain buy-in and drive forward with momentum.
In this influential role, as part of the Assistant Chief Executive’s directorate, you’ll lead the Council’s OD and Change team, which supports an ambitious and wide-ranging change programme, helping the council to deliver against its priorities. You’ll be working collaboratively with service leads whilst providing assurance to the Strategic Leadership Team.
We’ll also look to you to drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation by ensuring that managers and individuals are engaged, developed, and supported in their roles. With responsibility across a variety of service priorities, including OD, organisational change, employee engagement, EDI, learning and development, and Health and Social Care workforce transformation, an understanding of these areas would be beneficial.
You’ll bring creativity and a can-do attitude to the role, inspiring both confidence and engagement. As you’ll be working closely with senior officers from across the council and with partners, you’ll have shown you can build relationships and forge strong and robust partnerships.
Why join us? You will play a pivotal role in driving significant organisational development and work with a dedicated team of professionals committed to excellence.
We welcome applications from candidates from all sectors, however, experience working in private sector organisations would be advantageous. What is important is that candidates have a strong track record in delivering innovative OD solutions and experience of working within a complex environment.
If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a difference, we want to hear from you!
