Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities
1. Produce and present accurate, professional and financially viable commercial proposals in response to customer enquiries.
2. Provide an effective, efficient and responsive service to customers for pre-sale, order and post-sale activities.
3. Work as part of the inside sales team to meet and exceed business plans for order inflow, sales and profit targets.
4. Professionally and effectively represent the company in all commercial and technical aspects of the sales process.
5. Sales lead/enquiry processing.
6. Produce cost estimation where required for quotation purposes using company systems.
7. Prepare and send quotations to customers.
8. Order entry & updates for customer orders as required.
9. Sending of sales documents to customers as part of order process (e.g. sales acknowledgments).
10. Create, issue, and maintain serial numbers, certificates and other documents as part of the order process.
11. Coordinate with other departments internally to meet customer requests (e.g. expediting).
12. Communicate with and provide service to all customers as required. Update sales team and network as necessary.
13. Maintain and update customer files.
14. Acquire a detailed and thorough knowledge of the company’s products, processes, quality and safety standards sufficient to enable effective discussions with customers and other staff.
15. Offer a practical approach to problem solving.
16. Communicate effectively and regularly with customers, colleagues, and management on all issues which may impact the company’s business, operation and market position.
17. Attend and contribute to department meetings, planning and development of the company.
Administration
1. Process all sales orders, including but not limited to sales order entry, certificate generation & issue, sales acknowledgment generation & issue, sales order maintenance, etc.
2. Maintain various sales databases on a daily basis and carry out any other clerical tasks as required by the inside/outside sales team.
3. Process enquiries generated by all incoming mediums (e.g., email, website, telephone).
Requirements
1. Able to read and understand purchase orders and enquiries.
2. Experience in preparing quotations for customers.
3. Previous experience in a customer service/sales environment, demonstrating a strong customer focus.
4. Strong PC skills, proficient in all Microsoft Office packages, ideally with some knowledge of Syspro MRP system and Salesforce CRM system.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
6. Able to work on own initiative, and equally as part of a team.
7. Displays an analytical and methodical approach to work.
8. Able to read technical drawings (desirable but not essential), understand BOMs and estimate cost of the manufacture of products (desirable).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
