Mill Manager – North Kesteven – £42,000 + Excellent Benefits Package!
The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mill Manager to oversee operations at a well-established mill in North Kesteven. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day management of the mill, focusing on production planning, stock control and maintaining quality standards. You will lead a team to achieve operational excellence while upholding stringent health, safety and hygiene practices.
The responsibilities include budget management, staff recruitment and development and ensuring the effective maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. Monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished products is also a key part of the role, alongside ensuring quality control through rigorous sampling and adherence to company standards.
You will play a pivotal role in enforcing health, safety and environmental policies, investigating incidents and maintaining compliance with company protocols. By fostering a culture of safety and leading by example, the successful candidate will promote a safe and productive working environment. They will also drive continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to optimise production efficiencies and streamline operations.
While prior experience in a mill environment is desirable, candidates with transferable skills from other production-based industries are encouraged to apply. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled leader to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
