Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a HR Assistant/EA in the HR Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
Lotus is going through an exciting transformation with growth across all areas of the business. As part of this growth, we're expanding our footprint globally with new sites in China, Europe, and the US. We're looking for a multi-lingual Assistant to support the VP HR. This is a multi-faceted role which will require a well-organised and driven individual with strong experience in Senior Management Team Coordination, meeting cadence, and governance. In addition, they will be a key liaison with our Chinese colleagues in the wider Geely group, so fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is required.
This role also offers the opportunity to develop and gain skills in HR and Global Mobility, ensuring the day-to-day operational activities in relation to moving staff on assignment, working as part of the Global Mobility team to provide our employees with a high standard tailored Global Mobility service that is efficient, responsive, and cost-effective, while providing customers with a positive client experience. Supporting the Senior Global Mobility Advisor to ensure that business planning, needs, and objectives remain core to Mobility operations. Working closely with global third-party providers to provide the assignee a seamless experience (including professional tax support services, household goods shipment, destination services, international medical insurance, and immigration services).
Role Objectives:
* To provide a full range of administrative support functions to the VP HR and his first line team.
* To manage the smooth communication and knowledge sharing between the Lotus global facilities through cultural awareness and language skills.
* To maintain confidentiality across all touchpoints within the broader HR team.
* Supporting the Senior Global Mobility Advisor as the single point of contact towards international assignees, international hires, and their family members, developing knowledge of and expertise in global mobility and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
* Management of diary activity and meeting cadence and governance – including agendas, minutes, and content collation.
* Preparation and timely delivery of a range of Executive reports and presentations for the VP and the first line team.
* Budgetary analysis and support – including working with finance to produce relevant timely reports for HR Directors.
* Working with HR and internal comms to ensure relevant cascading of information and timely completion of all HR Cycle plan activities for HR.
* Maintenance of all aspects relating to organisation charts and role changes.
* Central co-ordination point for all HR staff Engagement activities.
* Make suggestions on process optimisation and improvement.
* Key project and activity management – including following key projects to ensure direction and steps according to plan.
* Support the global mobility function on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the delivery of the day-to-day operational activities in relation to sponsored employees and staff on assignment.
* Processing skilled worker sponsorships for new applicants and management of the ongoing employer compliance for sponsored employees.
* Work closely with global third-party providers to provide the assignee a seamless experience; including professional tax support services, household goods shipment, destination services, international medical insurance, and immigration services.
* Participate in ongoing training initiatives ensuring adherence to changing legislation, systems, and processes.
What you’ll bring:
* Fluent Mandarin and English communicator with strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.

* Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
* Knowledge and experience of SuccessFactors.
* Senior management team coordination.

* Purchase order creation and management of related spend and supplier engagement.
* Experience with reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI.
* Experience of working in a confidential environment.
* An interest in HR and Global Mobility and developing skills in this area.
