We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Team Leader to join our Young People service in Hounslow. £32,922.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week. A Team Leader will be fully involved in all aspects of the day to day management of the service, including line managing the relevant front line staff. You will lead and develop the skills of the team and will work closely with the contract manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets. Hounslow is an innovative young person's service. The service is spread over 6 sites in Hounslow and supports a broad range of service users including Looked After Children, Care Leavers, Teenage Parents as well as other young people being referred in for multiple support needs. What you'll do: Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisations succession plans Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch The Successful Candidate will; Abilities and Skills The ability to inspire team work and a collaborative culture; The ability to motivate staff and Service Users to meet agreed goals; The ability to develop staff using a variety of methods including but not limited to mentoring, coaching, and training; The ability to provide high quality feedback and challenge to facilitate reflective practice and continuous service improvement; Knowledge and Understanding Knowledge of innovative best and emerging practice in supported accommodation provision; Understanding of the challenges faced by frontline support workers and ability to offer staff welfare support; Understanding of and commitment to achieving best value; About you: A belief in young people, their potential to grow, succeed and thrive independently given the right support; A passion for supporting young people to reach their potential, a 'can do' attitude, and a willingness to get stuck in; A strong Customer focus and commitment to putting Customers' interests and voices at the heart of all aspects of provision; A commitment to asset based approaches - considering what matters to individuals, not just what is the matter with Customers; An outcomes focus and approach to working; Strong self-awareness and commitment to acting as a positive role model; A commitment to non-discriminatory practice and to promoting equality and diversity; A commitment to acting as a corporate parent in all aspects of practice where applicable; A commitment to effective joint working with partners to meet Customers needs; A strong sense of personal accountability.
