Were seeking a Consultant to join Leadership & Learning on a 12 month fixed term basis. Youll be involved in the end to end operational management, coordination, planning, reporting and tracking of Society-wide essential learning modules.
Youll have excellent organisation and planning skills, applying best practices to operationally plan the delivery of essential learning. Your collaboration with stakeholders will be second to none, with the ability to balance the needs of different stakeholders with the needs of our colleagues. You will also play a role in supporting the delivery of other Society-wide learning campaigns.
Youll have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a self-organising team with expertise in effectively coordinating and managing the day to day running of learning deliveries as well as continuously improving our processes and approach.
Leadership and Learning are one of the professional practices within the People Function. The L&L practice deliver the learning strategy, which includes leadership development, core essential learning, learning campaigns and future skills.
The key objective of Essential learning is to deliver an effective learning experience that is relevant, simple, and engaging. Ultimately, we want our colleagues to be safe so we must present essential learning in a memorable and uncluttered way saying the regulatory messages straight!

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 21 and 35.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London or Northampton office. What Youll Be Doing
This role will have responsibility for the work stream management of the Society-wide essential learning offer. This includes the task management of a team of Designers, including the planning and scheduling of assignments, monitoring progress and removing any delivery barriers.
You will lead collaboration with essential learning content owners, building these relationships, understanding their regulatory requirements and how these can be balanced with the learner experience of completing the essential learning modules. You will be the contract manager for our design authoring tools ensuring we get best value for this spend.
You will be involved in drafting storyboards and analysing learner evaluation so we can improve each module in terms of engagement, relevance and accessibility.
Your responsibilities will also include responding to content owner and LMS (Learning Management System) queries and when necessary, escalating issues. Youll support the governance and audit of Learning, which includes producing guidance materials on learning content curation. Additionally, youll support the maintenance of the Viva Engage and MS Teams channels for Learning, both Essential and Campaigns.
About You
* You will have a proven track record in managing, coordinating and operationally facilitating successful end-to-end initiatives.
* Experience of operational work stream management, including resource scheduling, task management, risk management, reporting and evaluation.
* The ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, with the skill to challenge and enforce learning recommendations.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating agility to manage and own multiple competing priorities and deliverables.
* Enthusiastic about learning with the ability to coordinate and support the creation of storyboards.
* Analytical skills with the ability to develop insights and spot opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Design Tool contract management experience with licensing oversight.
