The Marketing Director, based in London, will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the marketing strategy for brands, networks and events in the following Asset Class groups: Real Assets, Sustainability and Compliance. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, the Director will ensure the creation of impactful, results-driven strategies designed to meet or exceed business growth targets across all revenue lines. In this leadership capacity, the Director will be responsible for guiding and coordinating marketing efforts across the relevant brands and events, fostering cross-functional alignment, and driving the successful execution of integrated marketing campaigns. By leveraging industry insights and audience data-driven approaches, the Marketing Director will enable sustained growth and elevate PEI’s market presence. Develop and hold a detailed understanding of the target market by firm level personas, also workflows and needs by role types. Ensure you have in-depth knowledge of the existing product offerings across all revenue streams, including digital information platforms, networks, events (delegates and sponsorships), and marketing solutions. Collaborate with the Product and Events teams to design and execute New Product Development (NPD) launch programs. Conduct thorough analysis of growth potential—both in volume and revenue—by persona, company, contact, and revenue line. Develop a strategic, creative, and commercially focused marketing plan to achieve annual business goals, including a comprehensive social media growth strategy aimed at increasing followers, engagement, and driving traffic to company websites. Design and implement a quarterly rolling campaign program tailored to each target audience, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality sales pipeline for new logos (acquisition team), and hit eCommerce targets. Create and execute tailored programs for customer onboarding, cross-sell and upsell strategies (account expansion), as well as Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for key accounts- usage, and renewal initiatives. Day to day responsibilities: Team management and leadership, including recruitment, development, and retention efforts. Working as a member of the marketing leadership team, leading on company and team-wide initiatives as required throughout the year. Oversee budget planning and financial management. Optimise the use of marketing technology tools such as Marketo, websites, CRM, etc., in collaboration with Digital Marketing Operations (DMO). Expertly design and execute Target Addressable Marketing (TAM) -focused inbound lead nurturing programs, as well as highly targeted outbound campaigns via social media, email, PPC, search, events, advertising, and more. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, along with actionable recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with internal Design, Data and DMO teams, as well as external agencies, to create a variety of marketing content that supports all stages of the customer journey (top, middle, and bottom of the funnel). Role KPIs Develop and implement, a marketing strategy that aligns with company goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Editorial, Product, Sales, and Events, to ensure quarterly marketing plans are developed and executed in line with business needs. Hit targets for New Customer acquisition (from relevant TAM) including marketing contributed sales opportunities and pipeline $ (DIPs, Network Membership, Delegates, Sponsors, Marketing Solutions). Produce and publish a minimum of six video or written customer case studies annually, together with shorter testimonials for proof-points. Achieve targets for Account Expansion through cross-sell and upsell within Client and Key Accounts including marketing contributed sales opportunities and pipeline $ (DIPs, Network Membership, Delegates, Sponsors, Marketing Solutions). Deliver increased usage, engagement, satisfaction and retention at company and person level for renewable revenue products (shared KPIs with Editorial, Events and Account Management). About You Requirements Minimum Bachelors Degree and experience working in a senior-level marketing position, owning and running a team within a similar B2B Business Intelligence/Information Services organisation. Strong people management experience – leading, coaching and managing in-person and remote teams. Track record of working closely with sales teams to drive commercial revenue growth. Strong communication skills and ability to influence and educate a team, peers and senior leadership. Excellent planning, project management and performance analysis skills; adept at multi-tasking, prioritisation and collaborating with colleagues across functions. Demonstrable experience in delivering holistic and successful inbound and outbound marketing programmes resulting in increased demand, leads, and revenue.
