Site Reliability Engineering Lead | ITIL Service Management

How you'll make a difference
We are currently looking to recruit a an Azure Site Reliability Engineering Lead who is passionate about leading operational excellence across our public cloud platforms and advancing SRE practices at enterprise scale. You will co-ordinate, and in the future lead, a team of talented engineers, driving best practices and fostering a culture of reliability and automation.
Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing our Azure product offerings, ensuring high availability, manageability, performance, and cost efficiency. You will be responsible for managing incidents and resolving complex issues, ensuring our platforms have the right level of service and support whilst looking for opportunities to automate processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor engineers providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Design and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
Develop and enforce best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
Collaborate with platform and development teams to ensure the reliability and performance of new features and services.
Drive automation efforts to reduce manual intervention and improve system efficiency.
Conduct post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring our estate is properly manged ensuring platform currency, patching and other pro-active maintenance activities are undertaken.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.
What you'll bring to the role:
You are experienced in running IT Service Management in a complex environment with a mix of internal/external platforms.
Essential to have worked in DevOps and Azure cloud-based environments.
Experienced ITIL Service Management professional with a minimum ITIL V.3 certification.
Team leading/people management experience essential.
