This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled data analyst to optimise the gathering,interpretationand reporting of perinatal insights from the Trust and wider Maternity and Neonatal System,toinform the safest and highest-quality care for women and birthing people and their babies across Leicester,Leicestershireand Rutland.
The post holder will be expected to extract,analyseand present performance metrics relating to perinatal services, includingquality andsafety relatedKPI’s to a range of internal and external stakeholders.The post holder will adopt and embed statistical process control (SPC), which supports decision-making.
Taking the lead on Making Data Count the post holder will be integral to UHL’s perinatal teams to ensure data and intelligence informs service improvement. The post holder will support others to build confidence in data and increasing their knowledge and understanding.
This is an opportunity to work within the Trust’s Perinatal Safety Improvement Team, partnering with service users, CMG leadership, clinical leads, and system colleagues.
• To engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in informing the development of models of care.
• Provide and receivehighly complex,sensitiveand contentious information orally.
• Convey complex information and learning of varying degrees and complexity in writingand in data visualisations using systems such as Excel,PowerBI, Tableau,Qliksenseand similar.
• Design and deliver complex formal presentations to large groups.
• Facilitate meetings & small groups of stakeholders and project teams.
• Provide information that is conveyed accurately and clearly and is appropriate tothe audience’s collective confidence and understanding of analytical techniques.
• To establishworking relationships with clinical staff to see and understand how the serviceoperatesin the workplace.
• Build and establishnetworks of colleagues across NHSEngland and NHS Trusts.
• With the support of the BI team, extract rawdatefromElectronic Patient Records Systems andPatient Administration Systems such asEurokingE3,BadgernetandNerveCentrein order toanalyse and convey as business intelligence and insights dashboards.
• Motivate, influenceand inspire others to make data driven improvements through successful communication,negotiationand persuasive skills.
• Work with data to help teams to see and understand their service. Use data to help identifythe causes of variation and to measure the impact of changes.
