The Department of Mathematics is supported by an experienced professional services team, working in partnership with academic colleagues, as well as faculty and central directorates to provide a high-quality administrative support service and student and staff experience.
About the role
We are looking to recruit a Programme Officer to join our team. Our Programme Officers support students and academic staff as the first point of contact for queries, whether face-to-face, via phone, or electronic media. The role is responsible for essential work to support the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and for ensuring that student lifecycle activities run smoothly, ensuring that our students and staff experience our services in a seamless and effective manner. With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations and processes, the Programme Officer is a valued and trusted member of the team with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
The role reports to the Senior Programme Officer and will work closely with the rest of the department team, as well as with colleagues from the wider Faculty and the University contributing to our high-level service provision and our ethos of continual improvement to delivery.
The role will be based at the Strand campus, in the heart of Central London. Professional services staff are currently working on a hybrid basis, meaning the role holders will spend part of their working week on campus and the remainder working remotely.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026.
