Information Governance Lead Salary £50,730.56 per annum Location Wythenshawe. Manchester Hours of work 35 per week 12 month FTC, Full Time We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Governance Lead to play a key role in shaping and safeguarding the future of information sharing within Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) over the course of a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The successful applicant will serve as the key strategic point of contact for activity within the Group relating to information sharing partnerships, including acting as the service’s Safeguarding representative. They will support the Information Governance team to provide a customer first data protection service, acting as the service lead for the Group’s information sharing activities and the Deputy Data Protection Officer. Key duties will include providing day-to-day oversight of internal and external information sharing arrangements, ensuring GDPR compliance, especially with sensitive personal data, as well as supporting partners and internal stakeholders in data flow mapping processes and maintaining information registers. What we're looking for: - Proven experience in Information Governance, Data Protection, ideally within a housing, public sector, or similar environment. - In-depth knowledge of the UK GDPR, data protection laws, and best practices. - Strong experience in managing information sharing agreements and engaging with external partners. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior leaders, partners, and internal teams. - Experience in managing information security incidents and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with data protection laws. - Experience of Information Management & Retention, to provide support for WCHG's Knowledge & Information Management action plan.
