About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Precision Timepiece Specialist to join our technical team at Christopher Ward. As a specialist in watchmaking, you will be responsible for repairing, servicing, and overhauling our timepieces to the highest standards.
With a strong focus on quality and attention to detail, you will work on a wide range of mechanical watches, including ETA-based movements, proprietary movements, and modified mechanisms. Your expertise will ensure that every timepiece meets our brand-specific guidelines and customer expectations.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills further through training and accreditation programs. You will also contribute to the coaching and development of apprentice technicians and watchmakers, helping to shape the next generation of horology professionals.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues in accordance with our brand's guidelines.
* Servicing of all brand models, including mechanical, quartz, and modular chronograph movements.
* Testing timepieces for accuracy and performance using specialized tools and equipment.
* Visual inspection of components and watches to ensure they meet our quality standards.
* Troubleshooting mechanical problems and implementing effective solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Proven experience in watchmaking with a strong understanding of mechanical movements.
* Excellent level of spoken English and ability to communicate effectively.
* GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications or a graduate of a watchmaker program from a recognized institution.
* Familiarity with ETA/Sellita calibres and proprietary movement architecture.
