About the Role This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to shape financial processes and drive efficiencies as part of our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate management accounts whilst supporting the external audit process. With a new accounting system in place, you will lead the transition from Excel-based reporting to streamlined system processes, driving efficiency along the way. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial standards. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flows. Provide insightful variance analysis and recommendations for strategic decision-making. Support external audits with robust documentation and responses to queries. Collaborate with departmental managers to create and monitor budgets. Identify and implement process improvements using the new accounting system. Contribute to forecasts and financial models to support growth strategies. Requirements We are looking for a confident self-starter with a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Key attributes include: A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Proven experience in producing management accounts within a finance department. Strong reconciliation experience Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) and familiarity with accounting systems. Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to manage large datasets. Confident in challenging information and obtaining clear explanations. Strong problem-solving skills and an adaptable, proactive mindset. Excellent time management to meet tight deadlines and juggle priorities. Benefits A competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum.
