Customer Quality Engineer

We're currently seeking an Automotive industry experienced Quality Engineer to join us. This role will focus on:
You will have APQP cradle to grave responsibility for Automotive business enquiries, liaising with all departments within the organisation to achieve goals.
You will lead on implementing effective use and maintenance of core tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SOPs).
Using your experience, you will manage customer complaints through investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement projects, whilst administrating 8D reports and customer communication.
You will carry out FMEA reviews as part of a multi-functional team and collaborate on the action plans to reduce risk.
You will collaborate with our quality team to carry out internal, process and product audits in accordance with schedules and provide assistance as and when required during external audits.
You will have direct communication with automotive customers and carry out customer site visits as necessary.
You will monitor customer satisfaction to provide opportunities for universal improvement.
Using your knowledge, you will provide interpretation of standards and legislation and provide necessary supporting documentation and certification.
You will use your leadership and project management skills to work closely with the production team to highlight and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Significant experience working as a quality engineer within the Automotive sector
2. Core tools trained
3. IATF 16949 internal auditor trained
4. Top level contract review experience
5. Engineering/manufacturing background
6. Ability to manage work priorities
7. Excellent communication, rapport building and people skills
8. Strong presentation skills

This is a permanent role where you will work 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 1:45pm on a Friday.
In return, you can expect a basic salary of £40k - £45k plus a very strong benefits package.
