An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk/Receptionist to join a forward thinking team based within the Emergency Assessment Units. Our aim is to provide high quality care to our patients and visitors with excellent patient experience outcomes.
Attention to detail, organisational skills with precise and clear communication skills are vital parts of this important role alongside good IT skills.
The role will support the directorate on a rota basis supporting cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Full support and internal training will be offered to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities include:
1. Administrative support to all ward/department staff, liaising with other departments within the Trust and outside the organisation.
2. Assisting in the provision of a professional, high quality effective and efficient administrative and clerical support service to a multi-disciplinary team.
3. Undertaking daily administrative and clerical duties specific to ward/departmental area to support the provision of patient care.
4. Dealing with queries from service users including General Practitioners, patients, visitors and their representatives in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Ensuring that all work tasks are carried out to a high standard of quality which meets all of the organisations’ requirements for patient safety, information governance, data protection and confidentiality.
6. Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team on the ward and with staff from other wards/departments and external service users.
