Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic clinical psychologist to work within awell respectedCommunity Learning Disability Team. Thisfixed term 12 monthspost (37.5hrs per week) is basedatCollege House, Barrow in Furnesswithin theSouth Cumbria locality.Previousexperience of working with adults with learning disabilities is essential.
The successful applicant will join the service at an exciting time. Our service has experienced considerable investment during the pastyearand we have expanded by circa 25%. Recent developments include the formation of a dedicated LD Intensive Support Team that works alongside all our community teams and enhancement of multi-disciplinary teams in all areas.
LSCFT provides the majority of NHS commissioned community services for people with learning disabilities, autism or both across the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS). The learning disability service employs almost 200 multi-disciplinary staff and has 16 teams across the ICS.
You will be expected to provide psychological assessment and intervention in a variety of settings and be involved in the offer of consultation,trainingand supervision to the wider MDT on the psychological care of adults with a learning disability. There may also be opportunities forservice relatedresearch and development.
You will receive regular clinical & professional supervision from a Consultant ClinicalPsychologistand you will alsobenefitfrom being a member of the Learning Disability Psychology Specialty as well as the wider Psychological Professions Community within the Trust.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
