We have a new opening in our Civil Liberties team for a Solicitor 2+ years PQE.
Reporting: Reports to Head of Department.
Office Location: Liverpool (Hybrid Working).
Overall Purpose: To provide first-rate legal services to our clients according to their specific needs, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the group and by regulatory bodies. To act as an ambassador for the group at all times, actively promoting its services.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide great client care through empathy, strong communication, and careful management of clients’ expectations.
2. Manage a caseload of post-inquest civil claims and Actions Against the Police matters.
3. Nurture relationships with existing clients/contacts in order to maintain and develop work.
4. Actively participate in departmental meetings, suggesting improvements to our services/processes where appropriate.
5. Work to hit/exceed KPIs including chargeable hours and billing requirements.
6. Draft press releases and marketing articles to share our clients’ stories.
Key Experiences:
* 2+ years PQE (or equivalent experience).
* Experience of Inquests / Actions Against the Police and Legal Aid funding.
* Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients.
