People Manager
Role Context:
The main purpose of this role is to proactively partner with the business and lead the employment life cycle through an integrated and aligned approach across the business, and people team. Acting as a business partner, you will manage expectations, engage leaders, and build relationships to successfully deliver on the Global and UK People Strategy, aligned to wider Business Strategy.
You will partner with the business to build a competitively superior organisation by attracting, developing and retaining talent to ensure that people with the right skills and motivations are in the right place at the right time to meet business needs.
You will lead with our values & behaviours, including the critical few behaviours in everything you do.
You'll be:
* Proactively lead the employment life cycle delivery of the People Group through an integrated and aligned approach across the function and with the business to provide support in an HR generalist environment through engagement and realizing stakeholder satisfaction.
* HR delivery across all lines of business through proactive, commercially aware decision making, change management and continuous improvement to realize stakeholder engagement.
* Champion business and industry initiatives such as gender pay gap, STEM, DE&I, etc.
* Proactively identify talent/high potential and their development with a focus on tangible engagement and retention.
* Engage in succession and resource planning and management together with maintaining and sharing market awareness to ensure attractive remuneration and benefits.
* Ensure data accuracy and real time availability to support business decision making and mitigate commercial leakage.
* Implement and lead proactive performance and absence management to enable an engaged culture of development.
* Identify core talent and continue lateral development to retain and engage via the design and facilitation of people forums.
* Drive continuous improvement in people team practices and processes.
* Participate in UK People team leadership across the disciplines and engagement across the UK functions.
* Mentor and develop senior and high potential team members across the region.
You'll have:
Knowledge
* Excellent knowledge of employment law at all stages of the employee life cycle.
* Expert understanding of the terms and conditions for business units supported.
* Strong industry knowledge.
* Strong change management knowledge and experience.
* Working knowledge of data analytics and the role of AI in HR.

* Commercially aware decision making, change management and continuous improvement.
* Expert employee relations experience – including managing cases around absence, performance, disciplinary, grievances.
