Our client, a leading force in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The role focuses on delivering groundbreaking advancements in composite technologies through a variety of large-scale programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and evaluating quality control processes, implementing continuous improvement and manufacturing governance.
Analysing and reporting on manufacturing processes, including cycle time, reliability, repeatability, accuracy, and downtime.
Leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma initiatives and root cause analysis activities.
Delivering and leading research projects from a manufacturing perspective.
Leading New Product Introduction processes and principles.
Assessing risks and improving manufacturing processes with a strategic overview.
Applying innovative approaches to evaluate and develop technical solutions.
Implementing new processes, procedures, and methods to manufacture new components.
Job Requirements:
Experience in leading and managing manufacturing processes.
Proven background in manufacturing or production engineering.
Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering tools and best practices.
Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes (beneficial).
Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to optimising manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
A customer-focused mindset with the ability to follow a product from creation to delivery.
