Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a reputable manufacturing organisation in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant to support my client through their Year End process. The role is expected to last a minimum of 3 months, however an extension is possible to support the improvement of processes across finance. The interim must be within a commutable distance as the role will initially require 5 days per week on-site to pick the role up as quickly as possible. Once the role has been picked up, my client will consider a hybrid working pattern. The Interim Financial Accountant will support the Financial Controller and contribute to the year-end processes and ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial statements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare year-end financial statements and reports. Conduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of financial accounts. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors. Ensure compliance with IFRS. Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Highlighting areas for improvements or action and assisting the Financial Controller with remediations. Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required. Qualifications and Experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a similar year-end accounting role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Available at short notice. Within a commutable distance to my client's offices in Birmingham.
